Bill and Giuliana Rancic’s stunning 1880s Chicago rowhouse is miles away from Los Angeles — and typical West Coast style.
The pair showed off their fancy digs for the latest issue of Traditional Home.
Speaking with the magazine, the couple said they desired a home that would accommodate their lifestyle away from the busy lights of Hollywood.
“We have such a rich social life in Chicago,” said Giuliana, 40. “That just wasn’t the case in Los Angeles — it seemed like one giant office with great weather.”
To overhaul the house, the coupled called in designer Lonni Paul, who reimagined the Rancics’ desired blue color scheme to fit Chicago’s varied climate.
“I used the blue in California to [pay] tribute [to] the water,” said Paul. “But in this row house, which doesn’t allow light to pour in from either side, the blue functioned as a tool to create light and airiness that wouldn’t read heavy and dull when the sky turned cold and gray.”
The multi-bedroom home features a number of charming personalized touches — including a white fireplace and a two-story master bathroom/closet suite with its own skylight.
“The city has everything to offer, including a community of people with strong Midwestern values,” said Bill, 44. “We knew the family who lived here before, and they put a great vibe in this house that we hope to continue. We’ve already had one foot here, and now we have two. Finally, we’re home.”
